Subtitles, Captions & Audio
Subtitles with your downloads
Downloads bring their subtitle files along, ready for offline.

When a movie or episode finishes downloading, Rivue saves subtitle files for your languages beside it — so subtitles work on the plane too. They are removed together with the download.
- Open Settings → Subtitles & Captions → Subtitles with Downloads.
- Download subtitles too is on out of the box. Pick your languages under Subtitle Languages — twenty to choose from.
- Download titles as usual. During playback, open the Subtitles panel to pick a downloaded subtitle file.
Rivue is careful about what it fetches: if the video already carries text subtitles in one of your languages, no extra file is downloaded for that language. Subtitles offered by your playlist are used first; if you have connected an OpenSubtitles account (Settings → Subtitles & Captions → OpenSubtitles), Rivue searches there next — matched to the exact movie year or episode.
Tip — Image-based subtitle tracks (the kind burned as pictures) cannot be restyled or translated, so Rivue still fetches a text subtitle alongside them.
