Turn on closed captions (CC)

Show the broadcast's own captions — the same ones your TV displays.

iPhoneiPadMacApple TV

Many broadcasts embed their own captions in the video (CEA-608/708). Rivue decodes them and renders them with your chosen styling — no separate subtitle track needed.

  1. While watching, tap the CC button in the player bar.
  2. Turn Captions On. The source badge shows where the captions come from (for example Embedded).
  3. Captions appear at the bottom of the screen, styled the way you set them.
Tip — If a channel's broadcast carries no captions, switch on Live AI captions instead — Rivue can transcribe the audio for you.
