Record live TV (DVR)

Capture a program now or schedule it from the guide.

iPhoneiPadMacApple TV

Rivue records live TV to your device or chosen folder so you can watch later. Recordings are organized by program where guide data is available.

Record what is on now

  1. While watching, tap Record in the player bar to start capturing.
  2. Tap it again to stop; the recording is saved to your Recordings.

Schedule from the guide

  1. Tap an upcoming program in the guide and choose Record — or right-click / long-press and choose Record Program.
  2. Rivue captures it automatically when it airs. Scheduled programs show a small red dot in the guide.
  3. Review everything under SettingsSports & Recording: browse recordings, see scheduled and recent captures, and open the Calendar of upcoming recordings.

Where recordings go: SettingsSports & RecordingDVR RecordingsSave To. On Mac and iPad you can pick any folder, including an external drive. On Apple TV, recordings save to Rivue's own storage.

One honest limit: on iPhone and iPad, recordings run only while Rivue is open — the screen stays awake during and just before a capture. A Mac running Rivue records anytime.

Tip — Want a program recorded every time it airs, or every game your team plays? See Auto-record rules and Record My Teams.
