Guest Mode & Private Mode

Hand the device over, or watch without leaving a trace in your history.

Private Mode

Nothing is added to your watch history while it is on, and it turns itself off when the app quits. Flip it in SettingsPrivacy & ParentalPrivate Mode.

Guest Mode

For handing your device to someone else. It hides Continue Watching, history, watchlist and favorites, and locks Settings, profiles and playlists behind your PIN — while playback and browsing stay free.

  1. Open SettingsPrivacy & ParentalGuest ModeTurn On Guest Mode.
  2. If you have no PIN yet, Rivue asks you to set one first — it doubles as your parental PIN.
  3. To exit, open Settings and enter your PIN (or use Face ID / Touch ID).
Tip — Guest Mode survives an app restart on purpose — a guest cannot clear it by force-quitting. Nothing a guest watches moves your resume points.
